Do the Math - The US economy, energy, food and jobs

You would think someone in the US Government can "Do the Math" - but they cannot it seems.

Make no mistake - the joblessness scenario is tied to operating costs of businesses.

Those operating costs are directly tied to the costs of distribution and operating costs of offices et cetera.

Electricity is expensive and so is fuel to move trucks loaded with goods and to do other services.

There is no ability to raise prices much more of goods and services, because wages can in NO WAY ever keep up - and in fact they should not have to.

There are much better ways forward.

The process of producing a single gallon of corn-based ethanol requires 170 gallons of water, compared to 5 gallons of water per gallon of gasoline. In addition, corn production can require a heavier use of fertilizers and pesticides, increasing the potential for chemical run-off into the water supply.  So why not just use water directly to make hydrogen to bi-fuel on the fly ??  No reason but money.

Environmental groups say  the Obama administration should reject a proposed pipeline, called the Keystone XL, which would carry oil sands crude from Canada to the Gulf Coast of the United States for processing.  Thicker "oil sands" material is more corrosive to pipelines and therefore more dangerous to transport across the United States.

The connection isn't immediately clear, but the Exxon Pegasus pipeline that leaked in Arkansas in April 2013 was carrying the same type of "oil sands" crude that the Keystone pipeline would. This is oil that's mined in northern Alberta, Canada, with the help of some of the world's biggest trucks. The crude is extracted by heat and Hydrogen enhanced from strip-mined dirt, as opposed to drilled from pools of oil underground.

The National Resource Defense Council, says oil sands crude also is transported at higher temperatures, putting additional stress on pipelines; and it's thicker and harder to clean up than conventional crude.

Business groups say the material is not more corrosive, citing a report commissioned by the Canadian Energy Pipelines Association.  Hmmmm - the higher heat transport alone puts strain on the pipeline though.

We're using newer, riskier technologies to extract the last of the Earth's hardest-to-get fossil fuels. That's true of old pipelines carrying new, more environmentally questionable types of crude from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast. It's true of natural gas "fracking," where liquid is injected into the ground to dislodge gas from cracks in the rock. The practice has raised concerns about possible links to earthquakes and already proven groundwater contamination.  Drilling in the deep ocean is not much better as the 2010 disaster in the Gulf of Mexico showed, we obviously haven't figured out quite yet.

One of the first things President Obama did when taking office was to KILL Hydrogen car funding.  RIGHTLY so - it was the wrong kind and use of Hydrogen fueling use.  Fuel Cell cars that made electricity to run an Electric Car. See => http://www.treehugger.com/cars/obama-kills-hydrogen-car-funding.html

HOWEVER, the proper use of Hydrogen is as a Motor Fuel made on the fly safely at low pressure - never seriously funded or considered - though sales waivers have been granted by California's air Resources board as an EPA certified exempt device.  The problem is they are weak output non-metered free flow fueling devices.  A joke to put a real dent in the fossil fuel market as to bi-fueling.

In the early 1900's it was cheaper to buy a car even then and put fuel in it than it was to feed, care for and house a horse.

Gasoline was almost "free" - and initially it was.

Today our economy depends on transportation of goods and services - usually by fossil fuel driven methods - plane, train, automobile or truck.

The equation has now turned on us - it is more expensive to carry those goods and perform those services with in many cases the cost of delivering the good or doing the service outstripping the cost of getting it - or you - there.

The answer has been around for years, and the answer has been touted for years.

Even George W. Bush spouted off about it in this FIRST State of the Union address - HYDROGEN.

Since that time every idiot who cannot "Do the Math" or leaped in without respecting (or knowing) the science has either said "it won't work" - "it can't work" - "you put in more energy than you get out"; and every nut case excuse for why Hydrogen won't work as a National Motor Vehicle Fuel.

The fact is - the current oil energy scenario expends far more energy getting a gallon of gasoline or diesel to market  than one will ever get out of it.

Ford has a production Hydrogen engine - and it has for four years.  It is only for fleets and use in Ultra-Low Emission Loop situations like running shuttle buses around airports.  Arvin Meritor - in conjunction with MIT has developed an on-board plasma based partial Hydrogen rich gas reformer.  Yes it is patented.  Exxon has developed a working direct reformer for fossil based fuels.  Yes it is patented.  It pus out also Carbon Dioxide in the reforming process so it is a regulated green house gas emissions device by the EPA.

So how does this get to JOBS in the US Economy ??

The simplest answer, and most effective solution still lies in the simple on-board electrolysis unit to bi-fuel any engine application.  It is technology ready for today - ready to go and integrate to existing Internal Combustion Engine technology - AND it can be taxed and regulated as a USDOT - NHTSA device even using the IFTA to collect the same taxes right now that are paid on liquid fuels.

The Electric Vehicle - avoids road taxes, and in fact is such complicated technology it would be the equivalent of buying a mechanical horse with four legs that walks instead of using a wheel to roll on.  GM is loosing money on the Chevy Volt - industry pundits say about $50,000 per vehicle - and FRANKLY it is an unproven technological complication that is nothing more than a simple engineer built using an ordinary home lawn mower engine generator and air-craft starter motor to put in a 1970 Opel GT at as a true Hybrid electric vehicle that got 75 miles per gallon.  See http://www.motherearthnews.com/Green-Transportation/1979-07-01/Electric-Car-Conversion.aspx

Here is the link to an article from the Chicago Tribune published on September 10, 2012 showing how the Chevy volt was really an over-engineered expensive boon-doggle.  =>  http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-gm-losing-up-to-49000-per-volt-20120910,0,5279427.story?page=1

In short it was dumb - and every other auto maker - except for Toyota and their Toyota Prius is sorry they jumped on the electric car bandwagon.

Kind-of dumb - selling a wind up car.  That is in essence what it is - a "wind-up" car that only goes so far before you need to stop and rest it to "wind it up" again.  Might as well go back to a horse - that you need to let rest, eat and rejuvenate.  Wait for a bit of age on the vehicle  - when those batteries stop performing and go instead to causing problems - and they will.  They will stop working just like your laptop battery drops off all of a sudden - because that is what they in essence are - Li-on "laptop" batteries.

What are these idiots thinking?

It seems no better with the two presidential candidates.   Romney does not believe in Global Warming and says to just go back to oil and make it cheap - somehow - magically.  Good luck with that.

According to Romney we should just stick our heads in the sand and look for that pot of gold under there that is nonexistent oil reserves in America.  To Romney 2 + 2 = 64 !!

But, . . . Obama is like Romney in that he just does not get it.  There is an Empirical equation / solution to every problem and to get the right answer one must put in the right data.

""In a riveting interview on "CBS This Morning" billionaire oil investor T. Boone Pickens slammed presidential candidate Mitt Romney's energy plan, saying it focuses entirely on new oil drilling with no mention of natural gas.

"The United States has more natural gas than any other country in the world... but there was no mention of [it]," Pickens said.

President Obama's "plan" isn't much better, according to Pickens.

"They don't know anything about energy in Washington. We're still importing dirty OPEC crude. Why are we going to take clean natural gas and send it out of the country," he said referring to both candidates calls for exporting the current glut of natural gas rather than use it for domestic consumption.

"That tells you there is no plan."

Approximately 487,000 natural gas wells exist in the U.S. - enough to provide 100 years-worth of domestic energy . But, the fact is, the U.S. is still largely "built for oil."

According to some estimates, the U.S. has 60,000 "processes" that rely on oil and petroleum based products, everything from growing and transporting food, to household items needed to make our lives easier.

Pickens was worried we're running out of time to convert these processes to run on natural gas and reduce our dependency on foreign oil""

Some things have a common thread in order to work.  Our common thread is for our economy to work is the Internal Combustion Engine which has become a staple of transportation such that our basic industry surrounds it.

People need to be able to be mobile - no matter who they are - BUT they only have so much disposable income to be mobile - if you are NOT mobile - you are an invalid.

A tow truck driver that has no fuel to power his tow truck has no towing business.  The problem with CNG fueling is it STILL represents a 3600 PSI bottle of gas in a vehicle akin to rolling bomb, but bi-fueled with hydrogen could be an interim solution to older technology ECM use, BUT it can solve an short term need to stretch CNG reserves way out until better Hydrogen use technology catches up in the manufacturing marketplace.

Sure some things have deceased in cost - like we have the low cost leaders like Little Caesars Pizza and Wal Mart - but these are "get what you pay for" operations; and they represent a shrinking of the American Life Style.

The Washington Post did an Op-Ed on the Energy  issues of the Presidential Race and and in effect says both candidates are afraid to address the issue - but that none the less it is at the core of the issues facing America.  You can find it here =>  http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/a-presidential-race-low-on-energy/2012/09/09/3ca305dc-f90c-11e1-8b93-c4f4ab1c8d13_story.html

The truth is we cannot continue to have an "incredible shrinking economy"; and nor can we layoff and cut-back our life style and lives someone in Government is too stupid to see the horses for the trees.

What we are doing is borrowing money from other countries to keep our lifestyle going and telling ourselves a big fat lie every day.

What made this economy grow and be so robust was freely available relatively cheap energy and fuel costs for all - and millions of people built their fortunes on that relatively cheap, reliably cheap source of energy, and the only way this economy is going to recover is to return to those days gone by and KEEP them here this time by controlling energy costs with home-made energy we do not BUY from others.

Imagine asking Hitler to sell us fuel so we can continue to wage war with he and Nazi Germany at the time ???

God Bless the child who has his own.

""According to Dr. Chris Martenson, a former VP of a Fortune 300 company and an internationally recognized expert on the dangers of exponential growth in energy and the economy, the massive overhaul of our energy system would take 20 years at least.

" The problem is, we don't have twenty years,"Martenson said. "We might not have even one before oil becomes too expensive for [our] society."

Martenson's analysis, in fact, has been gaining widespread attention after he appeared in a controversial documentary that has become an American "wake-up" call for economic dangers that lie ahead.  Here is his "crash course" video linked to energy issues

The documentary warns of a looming economic catastrophe.  Watch the ENTIRE SERIES through navigating the link above  backwards and forward on YouTube.  REMEMBER . . . this crash course was uploaded in February 2009 !!! and predicted accurately much of what countined to happen TODAY.

Specifically, Martenson and a team of influential economic experts say they have discovered a "frightening pattern" they believe points to a massive economic collapse unlike anything they ever seen in the history of the world.""

Fortunately, Hydrogen offers to be the replacement fuel to fossil fuels to power our existing mechanical system which is our economy.  It is a very near direct replacement you make on your own - and it is beginning to look like that is more and more to be the problem - you can make your own fuel.

Craziness - no - but not as easy as you think - AND regulation is needed to keep al of the public safe from fools and idiots who have got just enough of clue to be dangerous.

Even the Obama Whitehouse has been brewing it's own Beer; but that is far more safer than making and using Hydrogen as one's own source of fuel.  But Beer is not fuel - while "distilled Alcohol" of almost any type (wood, grain, corn etc)  could be

People tend to over-complicate things that should be SIMPLE, and then try to simplify things that are complex and cannot be simplified.

""According to the experts - who have presented their findings to the United Nations, the UK Parliament and a long list of governments - our energy system will be the first domino to fall, sending shock waves throughout our society.

"What this pattern represents is a dangerous countdown clock that's quickly approaching zero," said Keith Fitz-Gerald, the Chief Investment Strategist for the Money Map Press, who predicted the 2008 oil shock, the credit default swap crisis that helped bring about the recession, and the Greek and European fiscal catastrophe that is still wreaking havoc until this day.

"The resulting chaos is going to crush Americans. It may even happen well before Americans hit the polls in November."

Martinson explained their findings further:

"We found an identical pattern in our economic and energy systems that guarantee they're going to fail," Martenson said. "This pattern is nearly the same as in any pyramid scheme, one that escalates exponentially fast before it collapses. Governments around the globe are chiefly responsible."

"And what's really disturbing about these findings is that the pattern isn't limited to energy and the economy. We found the same catastrophic pattern in our food, and water systems as well."

According to Martenson, these systems could all implode at the same time.

"Food, water, energy, money. Everything."

Dr. Kent Moors, one of the world's leading energy analysts, who advices 16 world governments on energy matters and who currently serves on two State Department task forces on energy, also voiced concerns over what he and his colleagues uncovered.""

It is pretty simple - to replace fossil fueling largely with Hydrogen as a fuel, BUT it is complex as to how the legal and technological issues should be addressed in making it work PROPERLY.  That is what law is needed for.

If law makers do not have a clue what is wrong with the economy, they cannot help anyone - let alone the US economy recover - BUT . . . I'll bet YOU reading this article get it just fine.

Obama is well meaning Basketball player, and Romney has no excuse for being a pure capitalist even he admits he is - the problem is neither have a clue on what ails the US economy.

1.   First, a purchase of the proof of concept ebook PDF "The 150 MPG Modern V8" gets you a site subscription and you submit you application to use this technology on - pretty much any Internal Combustion Engine.  This gets you a status of "licensee".  The ebook in itself will not show you much and is not a do it yourself plan set.

2.  that gets you a review your submitted application to use this on and present the options on getting it done

3.  You are upgraded to "customer" which gets you access to obtain the items needed to get the task done.

Can you REALLY get 150 MPG from a V-8 ???  Yes . . . it has been done in the past by two well documented means using patented products of the day - and today we use the legalities of today's fuel injected engines to get it done - lawfully.

So you see, Hydrogen is the answer in many more ways than one - and is the ONLY answer as it is a completely renewable energy resource - your burn hydrogen - you get back clean technically "distilled" water - you use waste water to make hydrogen - you leave behind the pollutants and get hydrogen that then leaves behind again - CLEAN non polluted water when burned and it never leaves the planet or produces green house gases - leaving the use of fossil fuels for critical use that must it must be used for.

Why isn't anyone talking about this ??? Read every article on this website - and watch Martenson's analysis, that has become an American "wake-up" call for economic dangers that lie ahead.  Here again  is his "crash course" video linked to energy issues
